Here are some CNC cut Walnut Save the Dates with custom screen printing recently completed. First sealed with a hand rubbed poly urethane finish, then screen printed and finished again with a final hand rubbed coat of Butchers wax. #artisanal coasters!
AvroKo asked us to create some aged “parchment” survey notes for the Edgar Bar at the Mayflower hotel in DC. Above: treating stretched canvas panels with paper fiber based coating, applying techniques to age the panels and screen printing various Victorian era texts.
I was recently asked to monogram some Iphone cases. After samples and test using sandblast etching & screen printing we decide to go with laser etching. Phew-Phew!
I recently had the pleasure of working with designers MTWTF producing a large scale graphic mural for Lincoln Center Theater. The large graphic mural sits behind the lobby bar and serves as a subtle back drop for Kiki Smiths hanging sculpture. The mural was completed using two identical paint colors in different sheens. The result is a subtle shifting background which changes depending on the viewers position. The mural is visible from two different floors and can also be seen from the out-door observation deck.

Some process pics of a recent installation of screen printed exhibition graphics at the MoMA in New York. After all the printing is complete we go in with small brushes and touch-up any white dots from a rough wall surface. We must of had hundreds of people watching us print on this job. The Acrylic letters where laser cut and adhered to the wall. We’ll be able to cut 3D text once the CNC router gets going.
Our 4X8 foot CNC router should be up in running in the next week. Imagine! Screen printing, vinyl graphics and vinyl paint-masked graphics together on a wide variety of CAD cut materials. Trade show displays, exhibition graphics, signage & custom do-dads created in wood, Cintra & Aluminium are just around the corner.
We’ve been screening a lot of bags this year. Here’s a sampling of some organic cotton, Baggu and recycled poly wine totes created for Workshopfineart, VineWine & East River Ferry. Printed tote bags can be less expensive then T shirts and get much more exposure.
